It's not the end!

broken dreams, shattered hopes
gloomy days, bleaker nights
insipid food, restless sleep

That's probably how many of us feel when we fall out of relationships or have a fight with our loved ones.... everything seems a blur and life just seems to stop...
Some times we fail to recognize that for every thing that goes wrong in our lives something good awaits us... No, I am not trying to be optimistic...I am just stating a fact...
Just because we do not have our knight in shining armor doesn't we don't have anything to be happy about..
I am just saying there's more to life than just being a relationship and belonging to certain someone!

Look around start afresh...!

I love each and every human being, do you?

Irked, angry and disappointed-yes that's exactly how I feel at this very moment. Patrick Tillman's documentary made me sad at first and left me furious by the end.

Its not just his death or the way he was killed,it is a remark made by the US army officer that causes me distress. Why don't you have a look for yourself:

After watching this outrageous video, I want to ask all the religious mothers in the world, would they be at peace if they could not bring justice to their son's death?
I want to ask all my religious fellows, hindus, jews, muslims, christians and so on..Which religion teaches injustice - something the Tillman family gad to live with?
I want each and every person reading this blog to tell me what makes us more human than the atheists of the worlds, do they not breath? Do they not feel?Do they not hurt?
Has anyone of you ever stopped to think that an "atheist" is just another human being-a creation of the very God you and I worship?
Which religion of the world teaches hostility and animosity towards your fellow human being?
Who are we to judge, who goes to heaven and hell...?
Isn't a man and God's relationship very personal?
Who are we to question someones beliefs and disbeliefs?

Here's a cartoon I'd like to show how people from different religions differ in their beliefs:
The reason I want to share this cartoon with you, to show you that every religion has its own set of beliefs which we should respect. No religion is superior to another. And none of us should forget the horrors of the holocaust- a result of discriminating on the basis of religion. Likewise, I feel if its disrespectful and ill to discriminate on the basis of belief.. it should be so in the case of disbelief too.
No, I do not want to offend any religion or it's belivers. I respect all religions and religious beliefs and non-beliefs equally.(Sincere, apologies if I did offend anyone)
For me we are all human beings first and Muslims, Christians...or Atheists second. Humans, who when ill treated will hurt and when loved will nurture.

An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind-Gandhi

Blog dedicated to a very special person who has taught me that there is more to a being than just his\her race, color, caste, religion and sexual orientation.

Is your best friend really your best friend?

Oh! the days when being thin was the only way to "fit in" into the university "brat pack."Perfect figure, branded clothes and high heels, were solution to every boy issue. "I look good hes bound to fall for me."
I wonder who came up with this ridiculous notion: "All thin girls are pretty"?

Ever since the 9\11 attacks we commemorate the date and mourn the loss of several loved ones. numerous channels narrate the stories of 9\11 victims and theri families. I wonder Why no one narrates the stories of all the parents who lost their innocent kids in Iraq bombings? who accounts for all the lives lost in the "wars" fought in name of "peace"? who talks about those muslim amaericans that were mistreated post 9\11? What about all those arabs that were labeled "terrorists"?

My point: All girls are thin..All arabs are terrorists...Does it ring a bell? YES both of them are stereotypes.
Root of these stereotype(atleaset for the most part): Media..yes your best friend media, the know it all, smart, media.
Media, that fails to recognise the role it plays in shaping our society.
Here's a true story of a Muslim American(post 9\11) :

on a lighter note... we are so busy worrying about our wieghts..if only our daily work outs were this entertaining...(video courtesy an old school friend)

Life..

Orange hues, bird flocks and sea waves-Sitting by the sea while watching the sunset,I kept wondering to myself what exactly is the purpose of our lives?
What are we doing on Earth?do we ever stop and think, what this world is coming to?
switch on the news and you see people dying of calamities, suicide bombings and so on, switch of the TV and face the atrocities of your own life. everyone is busy doing their own thing, living their own life..Where has all the humanity gone?

In this day and age of technology(ipads, iphones, blackberries etc) we seem to have forgotten that there is more to life than apple apps and "BBM." Sometime I wonder if people really existed before the inventions of  these digital devices?

Forget digital devices even media these days is changing mediums....what once started as small newspaper and print agencies has now transformed into "you tube' and virtual newspapers.  One such media that become famous in the recent times: viral media. viral media is a form of media whereby a particular news, video or piece of information spreads over the internet like a pandemic. anyone who watches the video entices more people to watch and it thereby spreading further.

a major example of this would be Rebecca Black's "friday" video.
Here's my personal favorite:

Seriously!?!?!

Ass, Elephant,Ass,Elephant...No I am not a elephant ass obsessed pervert, I am just a spectator of the great drama of the American Politics.
( In case you don't know donkey(ass) represents the American democratic party, while Elephant represents the American republicans)
Being a Finance student I have a special interest in reading news pertaining to financial and economic conditions of countries and commodities all around the world. As we all know we are currently in a recession, but my article has nothing to do with repercussions or causes of it, in fact, its about the outrageous part that America plays in shaping the global economy.  Don't get me wrong I do not hate America or Americans on the contrary I love the USA. However, in the past three years I think the biggest super power of the world has abused its stature and has completely failed to live up to its place in the world.

Starting from the Collapse of Lehman Brothers and its likes on the Wall Street till the recent U.S debt debacle, one wonders if the American politicians who are busy fighting the partisan politics really realize that the whole world is affected by every teeny tiny move they make. It took weeks and weeks for the republicans and Democrats to finally come to a consensus pertaining to the US Debt deal..My question is: did none of them gauge the gravity of the situation or know what consequences would the US debt credit rating downgrade pose for the American economy and the global economy?

Moving on, born and bought up in a country like U.A.E. I realize the importance of freedom of speech and just like any American take pride in the First Amendment of US constitution. My question again: Is it really freedom of speech anymore, when politicians and businessmen like Rupert Murdoch distort media content, in the name of freedom of speech, to fulfill their ulterior motives?

In conclusion, considering the huge impact US has on the global economy and also the fact that there is  virtually no substitute for the US credit and currency...Did the countries all around the world not foresee this day...Did they blindly put all their eggs in one basket?
